The last Sowers
Fieldworks, Perth, Ontario, 2010
Two monumental sculptures made with branches, organic fibres and soil at the end of a field. 5m tall each.
Fall and Winter are around the corner. The field rests, offers its vulnerability and its desolated aspect. It is colder, the colors are limited and the smell of the Earth is in the air. The Last Sowers prepare the soil for the next cycle. They chose to come out of the woods to seed the earth, revealing their serene presence. |
